The Alliance for Excellent Education is a dynamic organization with an equally dynamic message. When presented with all of the possible options for their annual report the choice was clear: a multimedia CD.

This format gave them the maximum amount of flexibility with the smallest chance of incompatibility with their constituent's computers. They were able to present their entire 2003 conference in high quality QuickTime video (more than 14 hours of footage) while also including all reports released that year and many other relevant documents.

Some clients might be concerned about how they can present these vastly different materials while dealing with the software requirements of each kind. With the Macromedia Director CD solution, the video is handled by the software on the disc and only the print documents require the user to have software already loaded on their machine (Adobe Acrobat, which is preinstalled on almost all modern computers).

To replicate the use of this one disc, they would have had to send a printed annual report, either multiple tapes or DVDs and some kind of packaging for all these materials. In the same space as a standard CD, the Alliance was able to bring together a true representation of the progress over the previous year, not just what could be captured on paper.
